The ‘Carbon Budget’ shows that CO2 emissions must be at least halved, from what they are right now, by 2030. That’s 9 years from now.
The ‘Carbon Budget’ shows that CO2 emissions must be at net zero, from what they are right now, by 2040. That’s 19 years from now.
The ‘Carbon Budget’ shows that if CO2 emissions continue past 2040 and into 2050, it will not be possible to stay well below 2.0 degrees Celsius and stop destruction of most life on Earth.
