1.12  More people consume more energy

The global growth in CO2 emissions will continue

In 221 years, from 1800 to 2021, the world added 6.8802 billion people.

In 2021, the total world population is 7.87 billion people.

For the whole Year of 2021 the 7.87 billion people on Earth will use total Energy of about 580 ExaJoules.

That’s  73,697,585,768.74 Joules of Energy per Year per Person, or about 73.697 billion Joules/Year/Person.

Right now, ALMOST ALL OF of the Joules of Energy used by a Person on Earth comes from Fossil Fuels.

More People will consume more Joules of Energy per Year.

But the critical question is:   Where will this additional Energy come from ?
