4.3  The Carbon Budget

Climate Scientists have a well defined Carbon Budget

We know what we have to do based on an mathematical formula or algorithm called the ‘Carbon Budget’.

The ‘Carbon Budget’ defines what happens to global average temperatures, depending on the amount of Carbon (CO2) we emit into the atmosphere.

The ‘Carbon Budget’ is a very well understood relationship to determine what we need to do and by when.
